Noticias de Casita Verde – enero 2019
En primer lugar, en nombre de Casita Verde y Greenheart Ibiza, me gustaría desearos un feliz año nuevo, saludable, exitoso y sin temor por nuestro futuro en el planeta. Con mucha esperanza para una era brillante y luminosa de promesa y plenitud para la humanidad.
Como persona de pensamiento positivo, he decidido que mi resolución más importante para el nuevo año sea "dejar de quejarme de los problemas ambientales y concentrar mis esfuerzos en alentar a todos a ayudar a encontrar soluciones". ¡Con suerte, esto me llevará a una relación más satisfactoria con mis propias conversaciones futuras y también ayudará a otros a hacer lo mismo!
Llegué a esta conclusión después de ver muchas charlas de TED sobre cómo los humanos podemos y lograremos salvarnos a nosotros mismos (y a muchas otras especies vivientes) de la extinción, en este aún hermoso planeta que nos fue dado para jugar en él.
Aquí me gustaría incluir un texto que escribí hace unos años, al diseñar el plan maestro para el movimiento Greenheart aquí en Ibiza y que considero que sigue siendo muy relevante para nuestra situación actual.
Mensaje del "Corazón Verde" Ahora tenemos toda la información y herramientas necesarias para restaurar este hermoso paraíso que se nos ha entregado para ser amado y respetado.
Pero debemos trabajar juntos como hermanos y hermanas, amándonos primero a
nosotros mismos y a los demás, compartiendo la misma
responsabilidad de creación.
El tiempo se está agotando, y debemos decidir qué camino tomar hacia el futuro Debemos empezar a reconectarnos con nuestra madre naturaleza para vivir en paz y armonía entre nosotros y con la Tierra, o podemos continuar separándonos aun más, con el seguro resultado de destruir nuestro planeta y a nosotros mismos.
Nunca antes en la historia de la raza humana tuvimos que tomar una decisión de este tipo, o tuvimos una oportunidad de escoger tan clara y críticamente. Es tiempo de unir nuestros corazones verdes y evolucionar en nuestra unión espiritual con el resto del mundo.
Es tiempo de pensar como uno, y apreciar que todo es parte de un mismo espíritu universal!
Este mensaje resume lo que personalmente considero que es nuestro objetivo más importante como la especie más dominante en el planeta Tierra. Hemos llegado al momento de la verdad en nuestra carrera para comprender quiénes somos y qué estamos haciendo aquí. Claramente, es 'hora de cambiar' muchos de nuestros hábitos más destructivos, y además sin perder ninguna de nuestras comodidades modernas, avanzamos audazmente hacia un nuevo paradigma, donde nuestra relación con otros humanos, todas las demás formas de vida y el planeta mismo, tiene que ser justa y sostenible, viable y deseable. Entonces, ¿qué es lo que estamos esperando me pregunto?
¿Estamos realmente esperando hasta que todos los científicos estén de acuerdo en que hemos ido más allá de nuestros límites planetarios y que no hay manera de que todos podamos sobrevivir aquí?
¿Estamos esperando un gran espectáculo, algo así como una epidemia masiva que mate a la mitad de los humanos, o algún tipo de desastre natural del tamaño del meteorito que envió a los dinosaurios fuera del planeta? ¡Estoy seguro de que si esperamos más, veremos que llega al menos una de estas situaciones devastadoras! Pero, ¿por qué querríamos hacer eso si ya tenemos toda la información y herramientas necesarias para solucionar todos los problemas a los que ahora nos enfrentamos como las criaturas más avanzadas de la Tierra?
Me he estado preguntando acerca de esto por mucho tiempo y aún no entiendo por qué podemos hacernos esto a nosotros mismos, incluso con un conocimiento completo del resultado esperado.
(Es un poco como el fumador de cigarrillos que lee en el paquete que este producto contiene 4,200 productos químicos tóxicos, ¡y luego continúa y se fuma todo el paquete!)
En Casita Verde, hemos logrado vivir en armonía con la naturaleza y estoy muy feliz con el resultado. Por supuesto, no estamos ni siquiera cerca del final de la historia aquí, y aún nos queda un largo camino por recorrer antes de poder decir que somos 100% sostenibles, como escaparate o mostrador de técnicas de estilo de vida ecológico. Sin embargo, estamos en el buen camino y avanzando lo más rápido posible para completar la visión final, y este es el sentido principal del viaje.
¡Ojalá pudiera decir lo mismo de la población humana de la Tierra!
Hemos llegado tan lejos y hemos logrado tantas cosas maravillosas con nuestros ágiles cerebros e inspiración. Pensar que todo este maravilloso esfuerzo de tantas personas increíbles podría resultar en la destrucción del lugar en el que vivimos, suena a algo como una loca pesadilla.
Por supuesto, somos muchos los que hemos visto la luz y estamos dando grandes pasos hacia ella, pero ¿cómo podemos convencer a los demás de que nos acompañen en este hermoso viaje hacia el mundo en el que nos gustaría vivir? y ¿quién debería ser quien decide cómo sería ese mundo?
Una cosa segura es que necesitamos difundir una vibración positiva siempre que sea posible, sacar a la gente de la idea de que el juego ha terminado y de que ya no hay nada que podamos hacer los humanos para salvarnos. La psicología de convencer a las personas para que continúen aprendiendo nuevas formas de vivir parece ser un tema principal en este momento, con movimientos como 'No más plástico' y 'mantener los combustibles fósiles en el suelo', etc., etc., etc. Y hay más cada día.
La gran pregunta es, ¿lo haremos a tiempo? Seguro que lo haremos, pero no sucederá a menos que todos nos subamos al tren y aceptemos colaborar en lugar de seguir compitiendo por lo que quede de nuestra nave espacial universal todavía funcional.
Esperemos que 2019 sea un año de cambios rápidos y positivos, con más personas uniéndose y aceptando el desafío: más amor, más sinergia, más compasión, más coherencia y más interés en nuestra fantástica oportunidad de vivir una vida mejor y ¡más significativa existencia!
Como nota final, tendremos una Asamblea General para la Asociación Ibiza Ecologic, (para aquellos que no lo supieran, esa es la entidad legal que administra Casita Verde), el jueves 24 de enero a las 21 h en Casita Verde (primero tendremos nuestra cena vegana habitual de 8:00 pm a 9:00 pm, así que por favor avísanos si vas a venir, ¡para asegurarnos de preparar suficiente comida!)
Durante la asamblea, explicaremos un poco la historia del grupo, además de lo que hemos hecho en el último año y lo que proponemos hacer para el próximo. Presentaremos nuestras cuentas y también votaremos por los directores que nos gustaría dirijan la asociación.
Esta reunión es una invitación abierta para socios y no socios, así que ven si deseas ver qué se cuece en Casita Verde, y más allá...

Casita Verde News - January 2019
First of all, on behalf of Casita Verde and Greenheart Ibiza, I would like to wish you all a very happy, healthy and successful New Year, without fear for our future on the planet and with lots of hope for a bright and shiny era of promise and fulfilment for humankind.
As a positive thinking person, I have decided to make my most important new years resolution to ‘stop complaining about environmental problems, and to concentrate my efforts on encouraging everyone to help find solutions’. Hopefully, this will lead me to a more satisfying relationship with my own future conversations and also help others to do the same!
I came to this conclusion after watching many TED talks about how we humans can and will manage to save ourselves (and many other living species) from extinction, on this still beautiful planet we were given to play on.
Here I’d like to include a text I wrote a few years ago, when designing the master plan for the Greenheart movement here in Ibiza and which I consider to be still very relevant to our present situation.
A Message from Greenheart
We have by now, the necessary tools and information to completely
restore this beautiful paradise which was given to us to love and to
respect. But we must all work together as brothers and sisters, first by loving
ourselves and then by loving each other and sharing the same
responsibility of creation.
The time is drawing near when we must decide which road to take into the future. Either we begin right now to reconnect ourselves to our mother Earth, to live in peace and harmony with each other and with nature, or we can continue to separate ourselves even further, with the almost certain result of destroying both ourselves and our planet.
Never before in the history of the human race, did we have such a choice to make, or indeed the opportunity to choose. It's time to join our green hearts and to evolve our spiritual bond with the rest of the world. It's time to think as one and to appreciate that everything is a ‘part of the same 'all embracing universal spirit'.
This message sums up what I personally perceive to be our most important goal as the most dominant species on planet Earth. We have reached the moment of truth, in our race to understand who we are and what we are doing here. Clearly it’s ‘time to change’ many of our most destructive habits and without losing any of our modern comforts, walk boldly forwards into a brand new paradigm, where our relationship with other humans, all other lifeforms and the very planet itself, has to be both just and sustainable, feasible and desirable. So what is it we’re waiting for I wonder?
Are we really waiting until all the scientists agree that we’ve gone so far beyond our planetary limits that there’s no way we can all survive here?
Are we waiting for a big show, something like a massive epidemic that kills off half of the humans, or some kind of natural disaster the size of the meteorite that sent the dinosaurs off the planet? I’m sure if we wait any longer, we’ll see at least one of these devastating situations arrive! But why would we want to do that if we already have all the information we need to fix all the problems we now face as the most advanced creatures on the Earth.
I’ve been wondering about this for a long time now and I’m still nowhere near understanding why we are able to do this to ourselves, even with full knowledge of the expected result.
(It’s a bit like the cigarette smoker who reads on the packet that this product contains 4,200 toxic chemicals, then goes ahead and smokes the whole packet!)
At Casita Verde, we have succeeded in making a valid point about living in harmony with nature and I am very happy with the result. Of course, we are nowhere near the end of the story here and still have a long way to go before we can say we’re 100% sustainable as an exhibition of ecological lifestyle techniques. However, we are on the way and moving as fast as we can to complete the final picture, and that’s the main point of the journey.
I wish I could say the same thing about the human population of the Earth! We have come so far and achieved so many wonderful things with our fast brains and inspiration. To think that all this wonderful effort from so many incredible people could result in the destruction of the very place we live, sounds like something from a crazy nightmare.
Of course there are many of us who have seen the light and are making huge steps toward it, but how can we somehow convince the others to come along on this beautiful journey into the kind of world we’d all like to live in and who should be the one to choose how that world should be?
One thing for sure is that we need to spread a positive vibe wherever possible, to get people out of the idea that the show is already over and there’s nothing we humans can do to save ourselves. The psychology of convincing people to continue learning new ways to live here seems to be a number one topic at the moment, with movements like ‘No more Plastic’ and ‘keep fossil fuels in the ground’ etc etc etc…. And there are many more every day.
The big question is, will we make it in time? For sure we will, but it’s not going to happen unless we all get onboard the train and agree to collaborate instead of continuing to compete for whatever is left of our still functional universal spaceship.
Let’s hope that 2019 is a year of rapid and positive change, with more people joining the dots and rising to the challenge - more love, more synergy, more compassion, more coherence and more interest in our fantastic opportunity to live a better and more meaningful existence!
On a final note, we’ll be having a General Assembly for the Association Ibiza Ecologic, (that’s the legal entity that runs Casita Verde for those who don’t know), on Thursday 24th of January at 21h in Casita Verde (first we’ll have our usual vegan dinner from 8pm until 9pm, so please let us know if you’re coming along, so we can be sure to make enough food ok!)
During the assembly, we’ll be explaining a little about the history of the group, plus what we’ve done in the last year and what we propose to do in the next year, as well as present our accounts and vote for the directors we’d like to run the association of course.
This meeting is an open invitation for members and non members, so please do come along if you’d like to see what’s cooking at Casita Verde and beyond…..
