World Environment Day 2009
Greenheart announces that we will be playing our part in the awareness campaign on World Environment Day with two special events taking place in Ibiza.
World Environment Day, commemorated each year on 5 June, is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.
Greenheart Events for W.E.D. in Ibiza: Friday 5th June 2009
Starting at 11am, our team members are setting up a Greenheart stand in Paseo de Fuentes, San Antonio. Together with other ecological entities (including the solar energy caravan from the Consell Insular), we'll be informing passers by of the issues of climate change and asking people to participate in an ecological footprint questionnaire. There will also be information available on permaculture, from the Permaculture association of Ibiza, plus refreshments and a chance to chat with us on related topics.
From 4pm till 7pm, we're holding a special childrens event at Casita Verde (sponsored by the Govern Balear), where there'll be an Aloe Vera show, lots of ecological education games in nature, and there will be a chance to try our delicious healthy local products: carob milkshakes and brownies.

Also coinciding with World Environment Day, on June 5th, is the launch of a new environmental film, HOME.
