Reggae rain party and other stories

Well we finally we made it. We had a lovely reggae party at Casita Verde last Friday night the 12th of October, together with Polish Andy from the Reggae bar, nearly the whole Casita team and a whole bunch of beautiful girls to add a touch of magic to our very initmate gathering. It was pouring with rain all the evening and until 2am Saturday morning but we managed to dance our way through to the end, bopping around inside the main house, almost oblivious to the weather outside. Of course, like all good captains, I had a plan 'A', a plan 'B' and a plan'C'. Plan 'C' seemed the most appropriate for the occasion and was fortunately the right one from the beginning. So, we all had a terrific party and are looking forwards to a repeat session whenever we can organise it!

Meanwhile, we're still feeding an enormous number of visitors every Sunday, with last Sunday's figure at 139 and no sign of slowing down as yet. However, we do have to get on with some more serious work stories here onboard our little green ship, so it's time to roll up the sleeves and get stuck into it!

We've already done the first childrens' visit last week with a totally successful event and have the second programmed for this Thursday, so hope to have at least a ray of sunshine for our solar demo system to work out (last week, the sun only mananged to shine for two minutes but precisely when we were demonstrating the new solar fountain feature - someone is helping us!)

The list of maintenance jobs is growing faster than we can get around to doing everything but we're lucky enough to receive some timely help from many volunteers who are turning up all the time offer their new energy to this rapidly expanding project.

Me, I'm just sailing along as usual and enjoying the story as it unfolds in front of my eyes., always impressed by our great fortune and our knack of having  the best time we can manifest on all occasions. May it go on forever!
