This year continues action-packed in Ibiza, and we invite you to participate in the following events and meetings of interest for members of our ecological movement.

“Ibiza Limpia” Beach Clean - 16th of June in Figuretes (6pm-8.30pm)
The next Beach Cleaning Party and “Econscious” event will take place on Thursday 16th June in the Figueretes area of Ibiza, from 6pm to 8.30pm. The meeting point is in the car park at the end of Calle Ramon Muntaner, opposite the Hotel Los Molinos. You can get further information by contacting us on 971 187353, or emailing jose@greenheart.info (please confirm your participation, so we can prepare sufficient materials for the action).
This year we want to further involve the local community in this very necessary campaign, so we propose the concept of adopting a beach, a forest area, or even the road to your home, encouraging residents to protect that area of the island that they like and where they spend some of their best moments.
The campaign "Ibiza Limpia 2011” (for a cleaner Ibiza), is the first pilot project of land stewardship - an example of collaboration between citizens and administration, in providing solutions to the challenges of keeping the island clean and the application of correct recycling practices.

Greenheart Guide to Ibiza and Formentera 2011
With the purpose of assisting residents and visitors to the Pitiusas islands in their search for ecological products and environmentally friendly services, we’re currently revamping our Greenheart guide to Ibiza and Formentera.

From July, you can find a printed version of the new Greenheart guide in ecological product shops and in a selection of other distribution points on the islands.

Transition Summer Fundraising Party
Come and enjoy a fabulous afternoon-evening event at the Transmission Mission summer party at Casita Verde on Sunday 19th of June. The happenings start from 2pm and will continue till 11.30pm.
A delightful place for the perfect summer's knees up, there will be great food and drinks, fabulous music, a fashion show, special presentations and entertainment, selected movies, juicy people, inspiring conversations and much much more - so don't miss it!

Transition Training - Forthcoming Seminar
A three day transition seminar presented by two certified international transition trainers is proposed to be held in September 2011 in Ibiza. If you are interested in gaining first hand experience and discovering about best practices in transition initiatives, please contact us as soon as possible. Note there are only 20 places available to attend the seminar.

Portable Eco-Toilets Project
A group of volunteers from the Greenheart Ibiza team are to begin construction of Portable Eco Toilet faclilities, for use in public meetings, private parties and social events. This will provide our organisation with a valuable marketing experience for this kind of installation, whilst offering an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional flushing toilets. The experimental eco loos will be designed and assembled at the Casita Verde eco centre, beginning on Thursday 16th of June (10am till 3pm). Wholistic Business Network Ibiza - Inauguration and Fundraising Evening
On Thursday 23rd June (6.30-10pm) there is the inauguration of the Wholistic Business Network in Ibiza and a fundraising evening for The Ibiza Preservation Fund. The event is being held at the magnificent Garden of Light, near San Miguel in Ibiza.
The WBN’s Vision & Mission is to inspire, educate and prosper through creative networking and the principles of synergy. The inaugural launch of the WBN Ibiza is a community-building event to facilitate Synergy. We aim to create & network educational projects that are a model in guidance, training, culture and support.

Appeal for Volunteers Ibiza Ecologic-Greenheart
We are looking for E-volunteers (people that can help without being resident at Casita Verde) in the following areas: translation (English-Spanish and viceversa), graphic design, video editing, fundraising.
We are also looking for local volunteers that can spare a few hours a week in the following areas: administration, campaigns and events management.
Sundays @ Casita Verde Fundraising Event: We often welcome a couple more people to help us organizing the event on Sundays, provided that they arrive by 11am. If you’d like to join in with this one, please let us know in advance, so we can better plan our staff numbers. Thanks!
