Fundraising dinner for Cambodian Children

This past Tuesday 10 July, from 7.30pm until midnight, Casita Verde opened its doors to receive the NGO Cambodian Childrens Painting Project (CCPP), in a gathering for a good cause.

This charity event was held as a fundraiser for the creation of a center for abandoned children and children of very poor families in Cambodia, for whom this NGO works.

Founded by Roger Dixon, the reputed painter and long-standing Ibiza resident, the CCPP provides painting materials to children in Cambodia so that they can paint their own paintings, which are subsequently sold at their gallery on the beach, generating a direct economic benefit for the boy or girl and their family. The NGO also provides food, drinking water, care and affection for the children. This NGO has only been working for a couple of years, but has already made an enormous difference in the lives of many children less fortunate than ourselves.

The CCPP joined forces with Greenheart at Casita Verde to welcome friends and supporters in a night of music, information, candle-lit dinner, fun and art! During the night there was a raffle of several pictures of the children of Cambodia, and an auction of a painting by Roger Dixon, and over one thousand euros was raised for the charity.
