Food for - and from - friends

A topic often discussed by the team at Casita Verde is food and nutrition. In this day and age with more people starting to question the origin, quality and health benefits from "fresh" food bought in supermarkets, we have decided to reveal our secret organic sources..!

At Greenheart we have a mantra: you are what you eat, and we are proud to say that the food that we provide on our Sunday open day is wherever possible locally produced and almost entirely organic.

The majority of the fresh vegetable products we buy is from our neighbour at the organic farm Ca Na Berri. Here, we regularly pick and purchase top potatoes, fabulous onions, wonderful lettuces, tasty tomatoes and enormous watermelons! And that's an abbreviated list. The culinary results are praisingly commented on by our visitors and backed up by a healthy and satisfied group of on-site directors and volunteers at the Greenheart HQ. Fortunately then, the farm we source from is open to visitors also looking for some of the best fresh, organic produce on the island.
