A new political tale in Ibiza

Well, thanks to some fantastic work by many people (lots of them personal friends of ours), the political strategy of the island is about to make a change for the better - if all goes according to plan that is! The Permanent Pavement party have finally be ousted from the drivers seat in the local island council and also the old mayor of San Jose (the municipality where Casita Verde  is situated) has been replaced by a nice young guy who proposes to do lots of wonderful things we can also join in with as ecologists. (I actually only went to one political meeting and caught an awful cold but I managed to make a good impression, as I took along a still warm loaf of bread I'd just made and later learned that all the top brass from that party enoyed a peice of my bread with their dinner after the meeting!) It's still early days to imagine exactly what will happen, as the takeover was won by only a few votes (a good job we all voted this time!)

At Casita Verde here, we are all chomping at the bit as we say, ready to get into action and help the new administration in any way we are invited to do, so will be sure to have a few meetings with the relevant politicians during the next couple of months and get the ball rolling.
