1Minute to Save the World Films

One minute to tell the world about Climate Change - Short Film competiton.

Here’s your chance to deliver the world a message about climate change. 1 Minute to Save the World is a short film competition open to anyone who has something they want to say about what is happening to the environment. From "witness" accounts to adaptation stories; drama to documentary; music video to animation - We want to see your point of view. The winning short films will be shown at Copenhagen and in cinemas. Entries can be made in any format, even a mobile phone.

There are no rules other than that the entries have to be under 90 seconds long and relate to climate change. We’ve teamed up with partners in over a hundred developing countries to spread the word but you can help us by letting everyone you know know about it too. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories – under 18’s; amateur; professional; animation and mobile and will include cash and mac book pro’s and your films will be judged by some of the leading film makers, industry producers and climate experts.

Don’t feel you have to be an expert. Anything goes. The most important thing is to get your message out there. As You Tube has proven time and again you don’t have to be a polished performer to get your point across. The entries will form part of a viral campaign in the run up to Copenhagen.

Advertisers and multi-nationals have long known the value of even just one minute of film so we intend to play and beat them at their own game. In the run up to Copenhagen let’s flood the world with messages that let the world’s governments know that we want action.

Deadline for entries is 5th October. The top 5 films voted by the public go through to the final selection in October so get shooting and spread the word to get more votes for your film.
