05.06.10 World Environment Day
Dear members, we are happy to announce that this following Saturday, 5th of June, we´ll be celebrating World Environment Day in the village of Jesús, right next to the church. Together with the local neighbourhood association and members of the permaculture association, we´ll also be introducing the concept of Transition Movement on the Island. Activities inlcude a local products market, an exhibition of local animals, film shows, talks, childrens workshops, healthy food and lots of entertainment which will continue throughout the day between 11am and 7pm.
For those wishing to learn more about recycling in Ibiza and find out what happens to our recycled residous, you are invited to a guided visit of the separation plant near to Gesa on the outside of Ibiza town. There are two 1 hour visits plannned for Saturday morning, one at 11AM and one at 12am. The 12 noon visit will also be filmed to provide footage for our Ibiza Limpia campaign.
